The following video will highlight our self-guided walking tour around the Melk Abbey in Austria. Audio Tours are also available in different languages as well. Unfortunately, you aren't allowed to video or photograph the beautiful rooms located in the Abbey or the Church, so we do our best to give you an idea of what you can expect via descriptions and postcards. The Melk Abbey Church is stunning with I really loved the Melk Abbey Library and the Marble Hall is beautiful too. (If you are rushed with time, you could easily skip the gardens and the Observation deck) Melk Abbey is a Benedictine abbey above the town of Melk. You can easily visit the Melk Abbey from Vienna on a day trip or you might prefer to get up really early and tackle a combination Melk Abbey and Danube Valley day trip from Vienna instead.
