Klaus Obermeyer, who will turn 93 next month, has been an innovator ever since he arrived in this country in 1947 from his native Germany. He used his experience as a ski instructor in Aspen to build over the past six decades an apparel empire, Sport Obermeyer Ltd., whose ski wear can be seen on slopes all over the world. Obermeyer recently shared with The Daily his path to being a successful businessman and how he came to invent the first quilted down parka.
