Chicago’s Riverwalk has been steadily growing since they started with the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Plaza back in 2005. It is now a 1.2 mile stretch of bars, restaurants, boat docks, floating gardens and more. The latest addition is Chicago Riverwalk Community Marketplace program.  The intention of the program is to allow small, neighborhood businesses an opportunity to get exposure to the high number of Riverwalk visitors and inspire visits to neighborhood locations.    This new addition is located at river’s edge between the Michigan Avenue and Wabash bridges, with the McCormick Bridgehouse and Chicago River Museum on one side and O’Brien’s Riverwalk Café on the other.  Here’s a list of the businesses represented, open 8AM to 9PM through the fall of this year.
