@The Bays - Live at Maida Vale (John Peel 6th March 2002)
The Bays are a group of musicians from England who only play live improvised jazz and dance music. They have never rehearsed nor recorded in a studio as they do not release music commercially and are independent of record labels. Their slogan is "Performance is the Product". John Peel after their live performance and two encores: "Just fantastic. Amazing. The Bays live on Radio One from our Maida Vale studio. And I tell you what, I'm about to go on holiday but at about this time next week I'll either be in New Zealand or on a life raft in shark-infested waters off the Solomon Islands when we've just eaten our last stewardess and some bugger will be playing 'Danny Boy' on the harmonica and I'll think, I haven't completed wasted my time."
