Wings of any variety, as long as sauces and rubs are sugar-free, are a fantastic food to have on-hand on a ketogenic diet. Here's an easy, even beginner-friendly, recipe for some epic and flavorful buffalo-style keto wings. Wings are easy to make during meal prep and keep at the ready in the fridge or freezer, for mealtime ease. Plus, the wings taste better as they age a bit; think Thanksgiving leftovers. This recipe is pretty simple, and we leverage some store-bought dressings and sauces to cut down on the prep time. Recipes: Chicken Wings: You'll need about 2-3 cups of grapeseed oil for frying, depending on the size of your pan. - 1 pack (approx., 1.75 lbs. or 8-20 pieces) chicken wings | flats and drummettes - 1/2 tsp, Kosher salt - 2 tsp, onion powder - 2 tsp, garlic powder - 2 tsp, Old Bay seasoning - 2 tsp, Pixie Dust Universal seasoning I also chopped up about 1 tbsp of fresh chives and used about a cup's worth of cucumber for a serving, along with two portions of blue cheese dressing (only 2 carbs). :) Chicken Dredge: The dredge is excellent to keep on-hand in the freezer because you'll never get the exact amount of dredge to the chicken being used. However, if you're making a new batch from scratch you could use the recipe below: - 1/2 cup, coconut four (finely-milled) - 1/4 cup, grated parmesan cheese - 1 tsp, onion powder - 1 tsp, garlic powder - 1/2 cup, pork rinds (finely-ground) - 2 tsp, Flavor God (Garlic Lovers) - 1 tsp, Kosher salt Blend all ingredients in a food processor for more even distribution. Store the dredge in an air-tight containtainer. Store the frying keto crumbs in the freezer to use as needed—they're great for frying anything with a single dredge coating. Buffalo Sauce: - 1/2 cup, Frank's Red Hot (buffalo) sauce - 2 tbsp, Kerrygold butter (salted) - 2 tbsp, Ketchup (unsweetened) - Primal Kitchen and G. Hughes offer great keto-friendly options - 1/4 tsp, onion powder - 1/4 tsp, garlic powder - 1/4 tsp, Old Bay seasoning - 1/4 tsp, Pixie Dust Universal seasoning - 1 packet, stevia Products Used: - Frank's Red Hot (buffalo) sauce: https://amzn.to/324m00I - G Hughes Sugar-Free Ketchup: https://amzn.to/33dFGAw - Primal Kitchen, ketchup: https://amzn.to/2WyEF3G - Ken's Chunky Blue Cheese dressing ( carb per serving): https://amzn.to/2pyNi1W - FoodSaver Vacuum Sealer: https://amzn.to/34nHreH - FoodSaver Sealer Bags: https://amzn.to/36lbPrU - Flavor God (Garlic Lovers): https://amzn.to/2WBroHo - Trader Joe's (Chile Lime) seasoning: https://amzn.to/329Fr8z - Pixie Dust Universal seasoning: https://amzn.to/2C7QGnm - Old Bay seasoning: https://amzn.to/33mhmwk - Grapeseed oil: https://amzn.to/36wdY4m - Kosher salt (coarse): https://amzn.to/2Nyw8d1 Social Media - follow for weekly foodspo: Facebook - http://bit.ly/wto/2O8oeGCdc-facebook Instagram - http://bit.ly/wdc-instagram Twitter - http://bit.ly/wdc-twitter Pinterest - http://bit.ly/wdc-pinterest
