We had the pleasure of interviewing Joan Pepin, vice president of security and CISO of Sumo Logic. Joan is a key player in the security industry, as an expert in security policy, lifecycle management, and compliance. With more than 17 years of experience, Joan is a driving force at Sumo Logic. She shared her thoughts on the state of security today, improvements that are needed, and how she ultimately found herself in this industry. An advocate for women in security, she encourages any woman in technology to consider security. Joan also shared her perspective on what companies can do to get back to security fundamentals. Her advice? Give up the old fashioned enterprise, on-premise mentality.
