The Bard kit gives you 3 passive effects. Speed 2, Resistance 2, and Regeneration. As a Bard you can also give other effects to your Faction members such as Strength, Regen, Resistance, Jump boost, Hunger, or even wither to opposing factions. The key is to be using Bard while in team fights or when you have other teamates to support you.
