I am an adventure traveler who grew up as a part of The Long Family of Gorge River. We are the most isolated family in New Zealand. We live 2 days walk from the nearest road on the South Island West Coast, between Haast and Milford Sound. I am still living in Tromso Arctic Norway and still working as a dog sled musher at Tromso Villmarkssenter. This year winter for me was quite challenging. I was away in quite an isolated place training racing dogs. We didn’t really have snow here in Tromso until February. We also had no guests until February so it was a really weird winter. It can be quite hard to get out of bed in the morning and motivate yourself to do something when it's been dark for months..
