The Fire Hydrant Kickback is a great exercise choice to stretch the muscles of the hips, pelvis and glutes. Great as a warm-up, for mobility work, and as a glute exercise. Performance Tips: 1. Maintain a firm torso throughout the movement. 2. Squeeze the working leg as high as possible and maintain that upward tension throughout the rotation of the hip and extension of the leg. 3. Feel each repetition and avoid swinging the working leg. We often perform the Fire Hydrant Kickback during Interval Strength Training in multiple sets of 45-60 seconds per set. Thanks for watching!
