The Side Plank Crunch is a solid bodyweight exercise that challenges many muscles of the core thru the tension required to stabilize the side plank as well as thru the crunch movement. Performance Tips: 1. Maintain a strong core plank position with your glutes squeezed and your shoulder positioned over your elbow. 2. Avoid allowing the hips to drop. 3. If the full side plank position causes knee pain or becomes too challenging, drop to the knees, while bending them at 90 degrees and continuing to maintain the modified side plank position. We often perform the Side Plank Crunch during Interval Strength Training in multiple sets of 45-60 seconds per side. Thanks for watching!
