Some of the birds encountered one relaxing morning in July 2012 around Mae Hia, Chiang Mai, Northern Thailand. Just 15 minutes from the city centre, you will find this fabulous birding area. Lakes, marshes, scrub, woodland, open fields & the forest clad base of Doi Suthep are all here. Possibilities are endless... (i've had Blue Pitta here before). A great place to visit before/after Doi Inthanon etc..
