Elk Poppers In this simple video, Kirstin shares her home-crafted Elk Popper recipe. This recipe uses game meat in a delicious and simple way. Whether you are trying to impress party guests, or just don’t have a lot of time to cook, this recipe will not disappoint. 1-2 lbs steak/roast Elk, deer, or beef 1/2 C Flour 1 T soy sauce Salt, pepper, and seasoning salt to taste 4 T Butter or 1/4 C oil *Vegetable of choice, and 1/4 lemon Instructions: Add dry ingredients to a Ziploc bag. Cube meat into bite sized portions – About 1x1 inch cubes. Add meat to Ziplock and mix until all meat is coated. Coat the bottom of a heavy or cast iron pan with butter or oil. Over a low-medium, add a single layer of meat and cover. Cook for about 12-15 minutes, turning as needed, until all meat is cooked to desired temperature.
