Wilderness Ridge Trail Llamas's video: Cooking BACKCOUNTRY PIZZA - Ep 62 - Llama Life

@Cooking BACKCOUNTRY PIZZA - Ep 62 - Llama Life
Cooking pizza in the backcountry is one of our favorite things to do. It is pretty simple really and a ton of fun. There are many ways to do it. This is fast and simple. List of ingredients: -Dough- You can make your own or buy store bought dough. Store bought is easier to pack into the backcountry and rises pretty fast. -Oil (I prefer olive oil) -Pizza Sauce- You can make your own our buy any flavor you like. 12 oz of sauce is plenty for a 10” pizza. -Cheese Optional: • Jalapeños • Olives • Pepperonis • Onions • Bacon • Etc. First- you want to get is get your fire or briquettes going. For a 10” dutch oven we used about 20 briquettes on top and 15 or so on the bottom of the Dutch oven. Second- Oil your dutch oven with olive oil. Then get your dough ready and place the dough in the dutch oven and start forming/kneading it to the side of the pan. Third- add sauce, then cheese, then toppings and more cheese, oh yeah and more cheese if you like cheese. Last- Cook for 30-45 minutes checking every 10 minutes or so. Enjoy and share with your backcountry group. We hope that you enjoyed today’s episode. Please share and subscribe.
