Matkat is a slippery, wet and very cool slot canyon at mile 148 on the Colorado River in the Grand Canyon. Rather than risk the fragile dories in the tight canyon mouth, most rode the gear rafts in, while the rest walked a partially submerged ledge to get to the canyon. From there it was climbing, wading, and slithering up the slot canyon to a magical cascade area. Have you ever seen a "butt dam" flash flood? You are about to.
