The motor now mounts on the stern and can be lifted by tilting it forward. It steers with the rudder pedals. I demonstrated the kayak at a solar boat race. Scholars were provided with solar panels and trolling motors and had to build their own boats from extruded polystyrene. In the spirit of the event I limited myself to only the use of a buck converter, no battery and no MPPT. I tested two new props, an APCe 8x8 (fantastic potential, but not strong enough for this amount of power), and a trimmed down Master Airscrew 9x7.
