With hard work, persistence and true leadership he earned a full scholarship to play for the Bulldogs. To cap everything off Mike was played a key role, or as one of his teammates describes him "Was the glue” to one of the first Gonzaga teams ever to make it to elite eight and earned Defensive player of the year honors in 2000.
