Wings and Wheels Alaska's video: Expedition Alaska: A Missing Person Van Life Alaska

Our Expedition North past the Arctic Circle to the Arctic Ocean and the oil fields of Prudhoe Bay, Alaska - our adventure continues in our Winnebago Revel 4x4 Vans. We left our backcountry boondocking spot in Petersville, Alaska and enjoyed a dinner together in civilization at The 49th State Brewing Company. After dinner, we set out to our boondocking spot, down the Stampede Trail, the location where Chris McCandless went missing in his adventure in Alaska. Our plans included doing some 4x4 off roading the following day down backcountry trails. Instead, we found ourselves in the middle of an Alaskan Missing Person Mystery. A woman had been missing for a few days and a two year old child she had been caring for was discovered locked in her car, down the Stampede Trail, about 6 miles. It was originally reported the child was her grandchild but it wasn't, she was caring for it while the mom was at work. The child had no injuries but the missing woman, Mary Dawn Wilson, has disappeared. Her clothing was found a mile in the opposite direction of where her car was found and you can see from the drone footage at the end of our video, that trail goes off into nowhere. Mary would have known that. From the appearance of her car when it was removed from the trail, it's easy to assume it wasn't Mary Dawn Wilson who drove the car down the Stampede Trail. Where is Mary Wilson today? Did someone harm her and leave the child locked in the car? These were all thoughts our group had that night as we did our best to lighten the mood for the rest of our adventure.
