One of the worst Winter Storms Alaska has seen in years hit us while we were traveling in our 4x4 Sprinter Adventure Van throughout the State of Alaska. Residents of Alaska were told to hunker down in their homes, while temperatures dropped to dangerous lows and the power was knocked out across most of the area. We laid low during the worst part of it and had our own New Years Celebration to bring in 2022 in the middle of the woods with a fireworks show that came to an abrupt end when the winds picked up. We retreated to the comfort of our home on wheels where we don't have to worry about power outages or broken pipes due to our RoamRig Lithium Power System that keeps us cozy and warm without concern. Because of the high winds we were unable to cross country ski the next morning and we were concerned about snow drifts burying us in our van so we decided to head North where we began to realize a life long dream of living life in an off grid remote cabin with the most spectacular view of Denali in Alaska.
