Earlier this year I bought John Howe's latest, amazingly beautiful artbook - "A Middle-earth Traveller: Sketches from Bag End to Mordor". I just can't get enough from the awesome designs, the sketches and all of the illustrations. The book has stills and the "Weta Digital" designs from the Hobbit movies as well, which I think adds a nice touch to the overall concept. Obviously a lot of hard work was put into assembling this glorious tightly looking book and to create all of the art inside. John Howe is a wizard in its own way and I am his long time follower and admirer. I am a "John Howe fanboy" and I am quite proud of it! The text inside, which was written also by John, fits quite well and every page has an authentic and pleasant to the eye feel to it and and the reader can both immerse him or herself, admire the art and at the same time, plunge into a long journey into Tolkien's magical writings and mythology.
