Let’s get into it. 2 Dan Bilzerian was born on December 7th,1980 in Tampa, Florida. 3 He was born to Paul Bilzerian and Terri Steffen, and has a brother, Adam. 4 When he was 10 years old he found out that his father was getting imprisoned for artificially inflating a company’s worth before moving the investments as the prices dropped. 5 Growing up in high school Dan was not the most popular person and hated it. 6 Bilzerian was often lonely and was made fun of by peers over his father being jailed. 7 At a school, he was attending in Utah, Dan decided to impress his friends by bringing his dads M16 to school. He was then expelled and left the state. 8 He was honorably discharged from the Navy for calling his commanding officer a “P**sy”. 9 Although, there has been other articles that claim that he was discharged for a "safety violation on the shooting range". 10 He had spent 510 days of intense Navy Seal training and even scored a 94/99 on his military exam. 11 Bilzerian says he learned to play poker at the University of Florida, where he enrolled after the Navy to study business and criminology. 12 In his second year of college he had gone bankrupt and had no access to any of his bank accounts. 13 His solution to the problem was to sell his gun collection valued at $750, flipping it to $10,000. 14 He then bought a one-way ticket to Las Vegas and turned that $10,000 into $187,000 dollars. 15 Dan has a Persian cat that goes by the name of “Smushball” and the three-legged cat has an Instagram following that is over 800 thousand followers. 16 Besides having a huge Instagram following he has been featured in big Hollywood projects. 17 In 2014, he played the Handsome Man at Bar in The Other Woman, In The Equalizer he played Teddy’s Guy, also playing the role of Higgins in Extraction, playing himself in the movie war dogs, and lastly playing Healy in Lone Survivor. 18 When playing the role of Healy in Lone Survivor he was promised 80 words of dialogue and 8 minutes of screen time in exchange for his $1 million-dollar investment. 19 After only getting one line into the movie which was less than a minute of screen time he filed a $1.25 million-dollar lawsuit against the company. 20 Due to his lavish party lifestyle, he reportedly suffered three heart attacks before the age of 32. 21 A founder of Facebook once offered Dan to shave his beard for $100,000 dollars in which Dan declined appreciating his beard more than money. 22 In August 2014, Bilzerian was banned from a Miami nightclub for kicking model Vanessa Castano in the face during a brawl. 23 Bilzerian stated that Castano and another woman attacked Bilzerian's female companion. 24 On December 9, 2014, Dan was arrested at Los Angeles International Airport on unrelated bomb-making charges. 25 The report stated, "Bilzerian has been charged with violating a law making it a crime to possess an explosive or incendiary device with the intent to manufacture it." 26 Dan created the Robin Hood Project, an organization that makes charitable contributions to the less fortunate.
