Wrenchin' Up with Jim Bates's video: String Cell Technology Is Ready Now - Wrenchin Up

@String Cell Technology Is Ready Now! - Wrenchin' Up
String cells are independent, modular units that fill up a string tank. Each individual cell consists of an integrated cell management system, a unique ID, encryption technology, communication capability, and a plastic enclosure. Through the conductive material on the surface of the enclosure, string cells form contact points with one another that are then used to determine the most efficient cell usage by a separate algorithm. The string tank fulfills the same purpose as a gas tank in a conventional vehicle, replacing a traditional fixed capacity battery for a tank filled with string cells. Each string tank can be adjusted to however many cells are necessary to fulfill a consumer’s driving needs, and can be charged in less than 3 minutes by replacing depleted cells for fully charged cells at a Cell Swap Station. A Tanktwo vehicle can also be charged conventionally, by being plugging into a public charging station or regular outlet overnight. My guest, Bert Holtappels from Tanktwo, explains how this could be an important fuel now and in the future. http://www.tanktwo.com Please consider supporting this channel on Patreon: https://www.patreon.com/jimbatesproductions Wrenchin' Up with Jim Bates strives to deliver automotive technical information and ideas from manufacturers and engineers to interested technicians and enthusiasts.
