Quick Armorer’s tip: what to do if you can’t insert your bolt into your Springfield Armory 2020 22lr rifle. If your bolt handle is out of alignment, wobbly & droopy we will show you how to fix it without having to contact customer service. In this simple fix I show you three different methods on how to re-cock your bolt handle so it can be inserted into the receiver. Tips two and three are especially helpful if you have hand strength issues like arthritis. It is easy to accidentally misalign the bolt handle on most bolt action bolts outside of the receiver. The Springfield Armory 2020 22lr seems especially easy to misalign. In fact my personal 2020 22lr came out of the shippment box knocked out of alignment. At first the bolt was stubborn and I could not turn it with my bare hands. After shooting it some things loosened up and I am able to rotate the bolt handle without tools. A warning this information can be used for most bolt action bolts, but centerfire bolts, can rarely be turned back into alignment without tools. Tools 1. Zip Tie 2. Shoelace or 550 cord 3.
