@GBA Homebrew Raycasting II: Floor and Ceiling
This is a GBA implementation of Lode Vandevenne's Raycasting II: Floor and Ceiling Tutorial http://lodev.org/cgtutor/raycasting2.html I ended up re-writing my previous two ray-casters (un-textured and textured) to utilise more appropriately sized fixed-point values. The result is a reasonable performance boost, to the point where I could enable full-resolution rendering. After doing this, I felt that the floor & ceiling projection may now be possible, as my first attempt with this on the previous fixed16.16 versions had horrid performance of less than 1 frame-per-second. All things considering, this runs quite well, however my aggressive optimisation has resulted in accuracy loss, which causes vertical streaks where the floor and ceiling is rendered when the wall is very far away. In this video I am toggling between full-resolution and half resolution to demonstrate the performance differences.
