Shortly after catching up with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi at the nation’s capital, the ‘Men in Blue’ players took flight for Mumbai to perform a victory parade for fans from Marine Drive to Wankhede Stadium. Amidst the euphoria of India’s ceaseless celebrations, winning skipper Rohit Sharma took his time to clean up the prestigious silverware. Shortly after arriving in India on July 4, captain Rohit Sharma was spotted cleaning up the 2024 T20 World Cup trophy. Amidst the presence of security personnel, the World Cup-winning skipper was also accompanied by his teammates and support staff at the time of his clean-up job. Team India players arrived in Delhi in the early hours of July 4, where they had a congratulatory breakfast with Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Shortly after the meeting at the nation’s capital, Rohit Sharma and co. travelled to Mumbai for an open bus winning parade from Marine Drive till the city’s iconic Wankhede Stadium. Back on June 29, the Indian team survived a major Heinrich Klaasen scare to escape with a seven-run win in the final of the 2024 T20 World Cup. Virat Kohli punched out a scintillating 76 in the game to take India’s total to a competitive 176-7.
