Like many countries in the northern hemisphere, Iran is also witnessing a cold winter, with snowfalls blanketing over a dozen provinces. But what's more interesting is that some places especially in the south, which is known for its hot weather, have also experienced snowfalls. Although the biting cold and snow accumulations have caused some problems in some areas, the beautiful white scenery has been welcomed and loved by many people, especially the children. Iran's Meteorological Organization says that over 24 provinces have witnessed sub-zero temperatures over the past days, with some regions experiencing a temperarture of minus 15 degrees centigrade
