Yami's video: Dark Souls 2 PvP Set Up Parry

@[Dark Souls 2] PvP Set Up Parry
*PLEASE READ DESCRIPTION FOR MORE INFO* - My ADP is 20 and agility is 96. A "small shield" and "shield" class shields were used, along with the scimitar for parrying. These were not upgraded. *** NONE of this content should be treated as 100%. 0:20 Washing Pole 0:44 Blacksteel Katana 1:12 Bastard Sword (Greatswords) 1:36 Greatsword (Ultra GS's) 1:52 Twinblade 2:09 Large Club 2:23 Hand Axe 2:45 Rapier 3:06 Halberd I got a lot of comments asking how to parry, so I will make a few videos that will hopefully help those who are struggling out. This first part is on set up parries. This video is mainly to help people figure out timings, and also shows the differences in parry speeds/stability. Why does the beginning note matter? Not only does this mean that you can parry weapons that push you back, but you may even be able to parry dead angle attempts. A set up parry is where you take (block) an initial hit in order to set yourself up to parry the following swing. This build was using 96 agility and 20 ADP. I used three different shields/weapons with different parry speeds. Set up parrying one handed weapons was easily done, but if the weapon was two handed it often resulted in only certain shields/weapons being able to land the parry due to the difference in push-back/stability. This is not conclusive, this testing was done in a short time and shouldn't be expected to be 100%. WEAPONS THAT SHOULD BE TESTED THAT I WASN'T ABLE TO PARRY (will edit later) Ultra Greatswords: Two handed second R1's (Especially the Greatsword follow up) Halberds: Two handed second R1's Twinblade: Two handed second R1's
