The closer I went to the high inside bank, the less gold I found. The pay streak seems to be about 1 & 1/2 feet wide. As I dug toward to middle of the creek, again I started finding less gold per pan of dirt. More like 3/4's of a gram of gold per cubic yard. Still pretty good. That gold bearing streak was more like 6 feet wide. I am sure as I continue toward the strong side of the creek. The gold would less in each pan. How ever, it is possible to find some nice chunky gold on the strong side of the creek. This would be from bank erosion that happened just up stream of your spot.
