In this video, Jana interviews Brooke & Matt Puntel about their labor and birth experience with their son diagnosed with down syndrome during pregnancy. They share about how her labor was induced with cytotec, how they utilized doula care in labor, and having a low intervention birth with skin to skin! They also talk about their experience in the NICU (Neonatal Intensive Care Unit) for oxygen support of their newborn and what it was like for their older son to meet his baby brother. In part 3, the video that follows, they will share a message to other parents experiencing a the diagnosis of down syndrome in pregnancy with some encouragement of how to process and what it will be like and some resources to connect with.
