In this video, Jana interviews Brooke & Matt Puntel about their experience of their son being diagnosed with down syndrome during pregnancy. They share about how they dealt with the news from the doctor, what medical options (including the choice of abortion or 'termination' of the pregnancy) they were given, and the emotional and relational ups and downs of the process. They also share about Brooke being diagnosed with due to a liver condition causing extreme itching all over her body, called cholestasis, at the end of pregnancy, leading to an induction at 37 weeks of pregnancy. In part 2, the video that follows, they will share about their labor and birth story of their baby with down syndrome.
