The pain in the wrist or the carpal tunnel syndrome is a result of sitting in front of the computer for too long. Carpal tunnel syndrome is a condition wherein the pain in your wrist is caused due to a pinched nerve. If you have any signs of carpal tunnel syndrome such as numbness, weakness or pain in the thumb, index or middle finger, it's best to see your doctor right away who will suggest exercises. Studies suggest that practicing yoga regularly is beneficial for those suffering from wrist injuries or wrist pain or wrist sprain. Yoga postures are designed to strengthen and stretch your body. Once you meet your therapist, you will be able to start working on the poses depending on the severity of your condition. Here are a few exercises that can help relieve pain and avoid wrist injuries in future: Stretch your arms in the front and start to rotate the wrists. And do the same in the reverse direction too. Concentrate on your breathing. Make sure your wrists rotate smoothly. Any sudden jerks might cause strain or injuries to the wrists. Flex the wrists, up and down. Blow out and forcefully throw out your fingers. Keep your rib cage lifted as your breathe. Focus on the muscle around the wrist as you do these exercises. You can even use a smiley ball and compress it. Also, you can dip a small hand towel in water and wring it dry. New video every Monday, Wednesday and Friday.
