Born on April 19, 1966, Marion Hugh "Suge" Knight Jr. rose from Compton, California to become the founder of one of the biggest rap record labels in history, Death Row Records. Death Row released such seminal rap albums as Snoop Doggy Dog's Doggystyle and 2Pac's All Eyez on Me. Suge Knight is notorious for using intimidating and violent tactics to achieve his goals. He was a participant in the East/West coast rap rivalry and in 96, was grazed by a bullet in a drive-by shooting. Death Row Records crumbled after Tupac left the label.
