Your Street Performer's video: Synchronicity - Buskathon

The Solas Project has staged a 24 hour 'buskathon' on Dublin's Grafton Street to raise funds for its charity work. This took place on the 23rd of December 2011 and was organized by Ciaran Maloney. In this video Róisín O, Alan Tully, Brian Murphy, Darren O'Reilly sing an Original Song called Synchronicity Busking on Grafton Street Grafton Street, in Dublin, is one of the two principal shopping streets in Dublin city centre. It runs from St. Stephen's Green in the south to College Green in the north. In 2008, Grafton Street was the fifth most expensive main shopping street in the world... For many years, Grafton street was and still is a 'paradise' for all kinds of busking activity, including musicians, poets and mime artists who commonly perform to the shopping crowds. Grafton Street buskers range from the fantastically fabulous to the mediocre and the 'cat strangling warblers'. Grafton Street was also mentioned several times in James Joyce's Dubliners, Patrick Kavanagh's poem 'On Raglan Road', the film 'Once', starring Glen Hansard of 'The Frame' and in many Irish and foreign artists' songs. A few famous Grafton Street buskers to remember: Dave McSavage, Glen Hansard, Paddy Casey, Rodrigo y Gabriela, Damien Rice, John Nee, Mic Christopher, Diceman... Many other famous Irish musicians and artists have started their careers busking somewhere on Grafton Street... So, to anyone who walks by, make sure you stop and listen as you never know when they will be famous!
