Scablands Scavenger's video: How I make cured bait corn home made fire corn for trout catfish or carp

@How I make cured bait corn, home made fire corn for trout, catfish or carp.
How to make cured corn fishing bait. This video is showing how I make cured corn for trout fishing or kokanee. It is a very versatile bait that adds color and scent to your presentation. It is cheap and easy to make. it can be used for other fish such as catfish, carp, bluegill etc. I have used it mainly while trolling but it is also good to use while bank fishing either bottom or float fishing. The Directions are on the package, and that will work... below are what I have been doing and it works for me a little better, also dont be afraid to experiment. A little more or less cure will change your end results. Link to video showing exactly how I bait rigs with corn : https://youtu.be/AWzCjT02Jmw Quick steps, drain corn place on paper towels or newspaper to drain. Spread corn out and lightly coat with bait cure. Let stand for 10-20 minutes to pull more moisture out. Turn corn over and apply another coat of bait cure on corn, let stand another 10-20 minutes. you will notice more moisture wicking out onto paper. Turn corn to mix and add another covering of bait cure. Place bait into container and leave out on counter for an hour or so allowing cure to work into bait, turn every 15 minutes or so to make sure it is mixing well, you will see a syrup starting to form. After an hour place bait into refrigerator and turn twice a day for 3 days ( as directions note). After three days or so you should end up with a nice vivid color and tougher than fresh corn that is great for bait as-is or you can add scents and attractants to enhance it even more. The directions on the bait cure should tell you the best way to store your bait, I usually just keep it in the fridge and take it in my cooler on fishing trips, it normally lasts quite a while if stored in a cooler during the day, around 2 months.
