The age old argument, Sales vs Marketing .. which is more impactful, a great marketing campaign or a great sales operation? I was initially a sales person and very much sales focussed but then as the years went by I discovered the power of the internet and marketing An effective marketing campaign with the right messaging delivered at the right time can be extremely powerful! Especially in today’s day and age with everyone online if you understand marketing correctly you can effectively target the exact type of person you want, when you want and with the content you want him/her to see You can take him/her through a journey which can do most of the heavy lifting typically sales had to do For me personally marketing and digital in particular helped me rapidly progress my career and open opportunities within a few years which would have taken me decades without the effective digital marketing methods I discovered So in today’s day and age where marketing is so much more than just a billboard I think a great marketing initiative has a huge edge over even the greatest sales teams What do you think?
