How Breath of the Wild 2 COULD Fit PERFECTLY Into The Legend of Zelda Timeline (BOTW2 Theory). Nintendo’s flagship franchise, The Legend of Zelda, is a video game series that has been built upon since all the way back in 1986. The gameplay, as well as the lore is something that Nintendo has put as a high priority throughout the years to make VASTLY different with each new entry in the legend of zelda series. In 2011, Nintendo attempted to clear up any confusion by releasing the Hyrule Historia, giving us the “official timeline” of the Legend of Zelda series. However, Nintendo kind of shot themselves in the foot here, because releasing an “official timeline” means that every single new entry in the series SHOULD theoretically fit perfectly right? The next game to hopefully fit PERFECTLY in the timeline is the sequel to botw, breath of the wild 2, or whatever they wind up calling it.. This also runs the risk of botw2 creating an entire new timeline!
