Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity - Amiibo Support & Functions Explained // Age of Calamity’s release date is rapidly approaching. Nintendo's amiibo line caught on with you and I looking for high quality figures of some of Nintendo's most iconic characters. The fact that these figures came with the added bonus of in-game functionality was a big plus. The company has been producing new amiibo for major franchises since they launched way back in 2014, with the latest Smash Bros. amiibo arriving in 2021. Soon, we will finally get to use their amiibo in Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity. The amount of amiibos that we have collected is probably considered unhealthy to some, but hey, I’m totally okay with it. ;) Breath of the Wild established a material foraging & crafting system that gave you a lot of potential recipes and dishes to uncover and mess around with. I remember vividly making a fruitcake, or grilling up a couple pieces of raw meat, and just seeing Link’s drool running down his face at the sight of the completely finished dish was something that made cooking extremely attractive to me as a Zelda fan. It looks like Age of Calamity is going to enhance this system established by BOTW retaining key elements, all the while tailoring it to the hack and slash gameplay of age of calamity, and tying it for side quests for Link. The material system in the age of calamity looks to be very important, which is why amiibo usage could help you out a lot.
