How Nintendo could make CO-OP work In Breath of the Wild 2 (Zelda Theory). The story of breath of the wild could have easily ended there, but Nintendo announced a Breath of the Wild sequel at E3 2019. All we know about the game comes from the E3 trailer. But it showed Link and Zelda exploring a cave together, before encountering some kind of undead menace. It wouldn't be out of character for Nintendo to immediately sideline Zelda and make the goal of rescuing her the main quest of the game, but the time might have come for her to be playable in a mainline entry in the series. Zelda has been playable in the spin-offs in the past, including games like Hyrule Warriors, but she has yet to have a starring role in the series that carries her name.
