ZigWheels's video: Kia Carens 2022 Review: Why so curious

The Carens is Kia’s first three-row, six or seven seat vehicle in the under Rs 20 Lakh market. It will rival the Hyundai Alcazar and the Maruti Suzuki XL6. The Carens is available with three engine options - two petrol and one diesel. Petrol power is provided in th simplest form by the 1.5 Litre engine which is available with a six-speed manual transmission only. The more potent option is the 1,4 turbo-petrol, making 140PS of power which can be routed through a six-speed manual or a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission. While diesel enthusiastsge the 1.5 litre diesel will a 6-speed AT or a 6-speed manual transmission. The Carens is vailable with a robust safety package as standard which includes six-aribags, ESC, hill hold, all-wheel disc brakes, rear parking sensors adjustable. It also packs premium features like an 8-speaker Bose audio system, cooled front seats, air purifier, leatherette upholstery. But it also has misses, like powered driving seat, 360 degree camera and a panoramic sunroof. However, this three-row offering comes acoss as a very focussed and thoughtful vehicle.
