If you want to improve your pull ups, you focus on your Back, Biceps & Shoulders. Powerful series are all about heavy weights. Heavy is relative to everyone. Make sure you select the weights that you can control and pause at any point of the exercise. But gets challenging and your muscles fail on your 12 to 13th rep. Go for the burn and failure. That's the only way you can stimulate muscle growth. Perform each movement with control and focus on having your mind inside your muscles.
