ZurichAirportSpotter's video: KLM Boeing 747 farewell - my memories

Each aircraft type has its own character, but when it comes to the Boeing 747, there aren't many airplanes which can compete with the uniqueness of the queen of the skies. Huge in size, but elegant at the same time, and of course a very long and successful history. It is my favorite aircraft for many reasons. KLM has been sharing this history from the early days on. On January 31st 1971, the first KLM Boeing 747 with the registration PH-BUA arrived at Amsterdam Schipol. KLM has therefor been one of the traditional Boeing 747 operators, a journey of astonishing 49 years. However, as the spirit of the time is has already predicted it, this journey has now come to an end. Forced by the Coronavirus epidemic, KLM has decided to retire their remaining Boeing 747s earlier than originally planned. At this point of time, the final passenger flight has already taken place. It touched down at Amsterdam Schipol on March 29th 2020. What is remaining are the memories of the past. In this video, I want to share mine. There aren't many, because I've only been once at Schipol airport for plane spotting back in 2018. What I didn't expect was that the last clip of this video would be my last KLM Boeing 747 I'd see, and this only after a couple of hours I've seen my first one.
