BJ Thomas (August 7, 1942 - May 29, 2021) had chart-topping songs from the 1960s to 1980s and continued to tour until 2020 when COVID19 health pandemic stopped public gatherings around the world. BJ was married to Gloria for 53 years (1968-2021). On March 23, 2021, Thomas announced on his official Facebook page that he had stage IV lung cancer. He died two months later on May 29, 2021 at his home in Arlington, Texas, at the age of 78 from complications related to lung cancer. One of their last concert tours together was early 2013.
