*OFFICIALLY SELECTED FOR LONDON INDEPENDENT FILM FESTIVAL 2017* ADRENALINE Synopsis - Our hero Frank (played by Adam Brashaw) is being hunted down for a secret underground drug that has unknown possibilities. When Frank gets cornered by a group of mercenaries who’s main objective is to kill him and get the drug, he has no choice but to fight back. This was a concept I wanted to make for a long time and after having good feedback with my friends we decided to go for it. I shot this entirely on the Sony A7SII with my Atomos Ninja Flame monitor, all recorded internally on my Atomos Monitor. This was my first film using the Atomos and I am very happy with it. We shot this over two nights and had a day for pick ups. Filmmaking is a huge passion for me and I’ve always tried to make something from nothing and try to achieve that film look. I made all the props myself on zero budget, I used a location I use pretty much in all my films, I bought a smoke machine which helped a lot and used my old lighting LED’s. I had to record the sounds again due to car racers around at the same time of filming which meant the sound on the day was unusable. It’s funny because it’s only when you have a serious project you end up experiences all kinds of problems, and this for me was one of those times. All the VFX was done in post and I realised without the use of tracking markers that everything is that much harder. I had to track the bullet holes in every single shot even if the car was in deep background and had I used tracking markers that would of been easy but no.. I had to track some of it by hand! In some of the shots I had to remove a dead guys eyes from moving, remove a wire from our guy being jerked back or remove some dirt on my face which wasn’t there the day before. This had it all and whats funny is that most people won’t even know about it! This is what filmmaking is all about, I read once that if VFX is done right then nobody will know it was even there.
