It was developed by a collaboration of French studios including Index+, France Telecom Multimedia, and Canal+ Multimedia. It was published by Dreamcatcher Interactive. This game was released only a few months after the previous game, and begins right where Resurrection left off. It goes so far to even use the ending cutscene from the first game as the intro cutscene of the second game. They also have identical user interfaces and even reuse some of the same prerenders. For all these reasons, I believe the two games were originally meant to be one single game. This would also explain why Dracula: Resurrection was so short. I'm guessing either due to time constraints or as a way to potentially earn more money from sales, it was split into two separate games.
