"Slip past Cygnus Wing and his tricks as you head for the goal! The Wave Road will be littered with obstacles! Be ready to push the button to jump or slide!" AND I RA~N I RAN SO FAR AWA~Y ... wait, those are swans, not seagulls, aren't they. The motion controls for this game are kinda neat: there's two sides of the Wave Road that Megaman can run on, and waving your arm back and forth will allow you to weave past obstacles as you run toward the goal. It's a pretty simple game to clear, especially as you also have the option to press the action button to jump over or slide under certain obstacles. The challenge with this game comes in the form of how scoring works: you're only given points for running past obstacles, not using jumping or sliding. The only exceptions to this rule are obstacles that can only be dodged with the action button (e.g., Cygnus Wing himself or his swans). So, see how many things you can dodge without needing to touch the button! There's a part of me that wishes Normal mode also got rid of the "Push the button to dodge!" warning that keeps popping up as each obstacle draws near; Hard mode does this and it's a bit easier to react to stuff without all that text cluttering the screen. Your prize for clearing these minigames are the "Attack +10" "Attack +50", and "Elemental Cyclone" Battle Cards. The former two increase the attack power of your shooting attacks in Free Battle mode. On the other hand, there's "Elemental Cyclone", which is a Star Force Big Bang: this card will allow you to perform a special, highly-damaging attack on Cygnus Wing in Free Battle under the right conditions.
