Never got around to catching this thing when I was younger... so I did it when I was older. If you want an easier way to check for/spawn this thing: -Run into the fishing hole as an adult, and bring the Zora Tunic and Iron Boots. -Run toward the lily pads on the western side of the pond. If it helps, use the Zora Tunic and Iron Boots to go underwater and get a better look! -You'll want to confirm if the loach (which has a more distinct, eel-like appearance) is present; no worries if you spook it and the fish around it into fleeing into the middle of the pond at the moment. -If it's not there, then simply pay the owner the 20 rupee fee for fishing, then immediately quit and leave. Once outside, just walk right back in and try again. -If it IS in there, and you've visually confirmed as much, then run right out of the fishing hole. Don't talk to the dude, and especially don't pay him the 20 rupees to fish. (Don't do it.) Just right outside and then right back in, the loach will still be there as long as you don't pay the rupees after seeing it. -Once you get back in, simply pay the 20 rupees to fish. Best of luck!
