@RARE VIDEO: UV METER TEST for EYE SAFETY for best fake version of CHANEL with BOWS (5171)!!!
so im gonna try to make this video for all of the sunglasses in my videos from now on...this information is VERY RARE on youtube - everyone seems to unbox & review real & fake sunglasses, but NOBODY EVER TESTS THE UV PROTECTION THAT THEY OFFER...THIS INFORMATION IS CRUCIAL & HARD TO FIND. sorry about the sound, but in order for the UV meter to work, it has to be under direct sunlight...the problem is that there was a lot of wind & obviously i didnt know the sound was so bad until the video was already made. here is a little summary of the results: the plastic bag was just to show that just because you put something in front of the sensor, doesnt mean the UV will be filtered. that is why the UV meter read the same amount of UV with the plastic bag ON & OFF. the next test i did was my FAKE rayban wayfarers, which filtered the UV to a level of "1". my REAL rayban wayfarers filtered the UV to a level of "0". the fake chanel 5171 with bows also filtered the UV to a level of "1'. i believe that the UV meter has a range from 0 - 15. since i have only heard of "no UV protection", "100% UV protection", & "99% UV protection", i assume that a reading of "0" means 100% protection. i also assume that a reading of "1" means 99% protection since i am not aware of a 1-98% UV protection for sunglasses. this could be a flawed assumption, but it is my own theory. someday i will try to take them to a real eye doctor who has a special UV meter designed specifically for these tests. i had to just rig up this experiment with the only UV equipment i could find, which is available at most stores. according to information i have found, real eye doctors say that 100% UV filtration and 99% UV filtration is safe. anything else could actually be unsafe because when the eye is in the dark (like behind sunglasses), the pupils dilate (grow bigger) & allow MORE stuff inside (such as UV rays). this could actually do MORE damage. there are 3 types of UV rays: UVA, UVB, & UVC. the tests performed should not be considered as scientific evidence, because none of the equipment was calibrated & therefore cannot be trusted 100%. this was just to give an idea to viewers because there is currently NO information online about this & many sunglass manufacturers (mostly fake ones) make claims that are not tested...
