andycivil's video: Crop a photo to a specific pixel size with LightRoom

@Crop a photo to a specific pixel size with LightRoom
Note: you cannot avoid re-sizing during the cropping process. Most people handle their photos without being aware of how big they are, but sometimes, when optimising web content, you need a specific pixel size. Entering this competition for example, requires a size of 990 x 415 so that it fits correctly in the header of the site. Here's how to do it in LightRoom. Open your photo, and press the 'R' key to bring up the crop tool. Choose a custom size and enter 990 x 415. It only constrains an aspect ratio at this point which is only one number, but you might as well let the program do the math. Move your crop corners where you want them, and rotate if you need to straighten it. Then choose File, Export and search for the Image Sizing pane. You only need to enter the long edge here, because the aspect ratio is already defined. When it's done, your exported image is exactly the size you asked for.
