@130kmph Upgraded Elite Trains of Delhi-Kota Route: Kota Jan Shatabdi & Ernakulam Duronto Express.!!
With the 130 km/hr sanction given to almost all the LHB operating trains in the Mathura-Nagda route of WCR. The recently upgraded Speed Demons of the Delhi-Kota route, the Kota Jan Shatabdi Express and Ernakulam Duronto Express had become my prime target in the NCR region. Barring Gujarat Sampark Kranti, these two premier trains were given the permission to attain the 130 km/hr speed in the Palwal-Mathura route as well. As the captures of these two speed predators were also next to negligible, so me and Jaskaran took a "Mission Raftaar" of our own to catch these two speed phenoms at their prime velocity. On a pleasant winter afternoon, we reached Rundhi station in the nick of time to catch the roaring 02060 Kota Jan Shatabdi Express roaring past me at full 130 km/hr with the power of TKD WAP-7 at it's helm. It was literally an amazing sight seeing the India's Fastest Jan Shatabdi Train hitting the coveted mark of 130 km/hr. Soon after in the late evening hour when twilight had started to set in, we were able to capture another speed demon, this time it was the Delhi bound 02283 Ernakulam Duronto Express. Generally the Ernakulam Duronto crawls behind 02903 Golden Temple Mail as both run humongously before time and with GT Mail getting the advantage of early arrival at Hazrat Nizamuddin than Ernakulam Duronto Expresss. On that day as well the 02903 Golden Temple Mail first rushed past us at flat 110 km/hr speed and when we checked the status of Ernakulam Duronto, we were surprised to see that it was also running on the heels of Golden Temple Mail, as we wait for the starter to turn green, the GT mail had covered it's ground and the Ernakulam Duronto was nearing Rundhi station. Soon in a jiffy, the starter turned green which gave both us and the Ernakulam Duronto the message to unleash the speed. When the white beast curved in, it appeared to me that the train was crawling. Dejected in agony, I was thinking that we would have to come again for capturing it at MPS, but surprisingly the crawl belief turned out be a speedy affair as the BRC WAP-7 led 16 coacher 02283 Ernakulam Duronto Express belted past the station area at 130 km/hr speed. It was a cherishing moment for both me and Jassi as our own 'Mission Raftaar' ended in a success. What transpired there can be relished in these two videos which easily showcases their new brutal avatar.
