Description: Whoa it's been weeks since I've released a proper mashup. Honestly, I never even heard of Daehwi's solo until this afternoon when I was listening to a few songs on Spotify. This song literally blessed my ears, and I curse myself for sleeping on it for so long. I am still going to work on at least one of the mashup requests I was given (from my community tab), but I'm adding a few more songs than what was requested, so it'll take some more time to make it. Plus, I'm much more strict with myself on how "quality" the mashup should be. Anyways let's get a bit off topic here, I hope everyone's staying safe with the virus spreading around. The other day a helicopter flew over my apartment and announced a random old dude who tested positive for COVID-19 ran away from his home... which was just a big "yikes." Honestly, I haven't left my home since March 6th, and despite being quite an introvert, it did take a toll on me. Admittedly, I'm supposed to graduate this year, and I had plans on doing things for the first time: my first prom dance, my first theatre show to watch, my first band performance to watch. But it's unlikely I'll go back to school for the rest of the year, and it saddens me that my time in my new school was cut even shorter due to this virus. It's the first time I've been close with teachers and with classmates, I'm thankful that I was given the opportunity to be happy at school, and I'm sad it was taken away just like that. Being in quarantine also allowed me to think a little too deeply about things, and those thoughts sort of became quite negative. I admittedly compared myself to a lot of other people and felt insecure about my own works. I love seeing other people's mashups, but I suddenly felt like mine weren't up to par. So I demotivated myself from doing anything, which really sucked since I've had so much time and I spent it watching web-dramas and texting/calling friends instead of creating something cool. However, I think things are brightening up (like the weather), and I think I'm slowly regaining motivation to work on videos again, but we'll see. Oh! Also I decided to write subtitles for this mashup since I thought the lyrics worked well together. I hope it doesn't make the video too crowded or anything. What are your thoughts on it (if you've read this far hahaa)? Anyways, if you made it this far, I do give my sincere thanks for reading my somewhat depressing ramble. I hope these weeks treated you better than it's treated me. I also hope you treat yourself better than I treat me.
