SpaceTime Flies's video: Alpha Magnetic Spectrometer AMS Repair 1: Parmitano Morgan - U S EVA 59

@Alpha Magnetic Spectrometer (AMS) Repair 1: Parmitano & Morgan - U.S. EVA 59
Edited NASA TV footage of U.S. EVA 59 aboard the International Space Station (ISS) (@Space_Station) on November 15, 2019. Expedition 61 ESA astronaut Luca Parmitano (@astro_luca) and NASA astronaut Drew Morgan (@AstroDrewMorgan) performed the EVA. This was the first of four planned EVAs to repair the Alpha Magnetic Spectrometer (AMS), a particle-physics experiment on the exterior of the Station. AMS was not designed for on-orbit repair, presenting a challenge to ground crews and astronauts. Parmitano and Morgan removed a debris shield to allow access to the interior of AMS and installed handrails to aid in future AMS repair EVAs. Running ahead of the timeline, they also removed a Vertical Support Beam (VSB) before wrapping up the EVA. The time-lapse portion of the video is at 10 or 30 times normal speed.
